Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe. Acts 14:20;
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To take people for granted is to take the future for granted.
Relationship with others is one vital factor for success and destiny fulfillment. To make the most of life therefore necessitates the need for quality relationship with others. That is why the quality of people in your life determines the quality of your destiny.
Now, having quality relationship does not necessarily refer to having rich, great or influential people in society as friends, rather, it is having people that you can count on and also people who can count on you. When relationship is centered on self, people are disconnected from the realities of life.
Let me give you two facts on quality relationship:
- The most important relationships of your life determine the degree of your true success on earth
A person is successful by how successful his relationship is with the people around him. The quality of people in your life affects what you will become in life. This includes the people above, below, or around you from whom you are learning and who are learning from you - Having quality people in life is superior to having high income
Having quality people in life is superior to having high income because people will do for you what money cannot do for you. The person who has quality people in his life without much money is better off than the person who only has money but no people in his life.
Beloved, my counsel is, spend time with and invest in people. Time spent in quality relationship is time spent to live. To take people for granted is to take your future for granted.
Remember this: To take people for granted is to take your future for granted.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Decide to relate with people above, below and around you with love and care.
- Invest in people’s lives to enhance their value and worth in life.
PRAYER: O Lord, I ask for the grace not to take people for granted. I receive Your help for quality relationship with others, Lord, in Jesus’ Name
